Hear Leslie Wilcox, well known TV journalist and now PBS Hawaii President and
CEO depict her strategic plan and community vision. Learn about her business
leadership and management challenges to ensure PBS Hawaii’s mission is
accomplished. Experience her passion for informing, inspiring, and entertaining by
broadcasting high quality programming and services that add value to our diverse island
community. Understand how PBS Hawaii is available to a remarkable 98% of Hawaii’s
population at no cost to its viewers.
In the 70-80’s, Leslie served as a news anchor, assistant news director and producer
for KGMB and until 2007, at KHON TV she wrote, produced and hosted numerous
productions. During those years on the scene and in front of the camera, she
experienced a unique and fascinating view of Hawaii. Learn how her experience has
enabled her to successfully transition from a for-profit organization to a non-profit
organization.
Come hear the "rest of the story" based on her:
- More than 30 years professional experience documenting life and work in Hawaii.
- Working familiarity and contacts ranging from senior business and government
leaders to the disenfranchised.
- Communications Skills: Researching, writing and producing for broadcast and print
media, speech-writing, program events, public service campaigns.
- Teambuilding: Assembling and leading highly collaborative, results-oriented
groups—television production, charitable projects.
